A partner in Conroy Simberg’s Hollywood office, Miles A. McGrane, IV, dedicates his practice to representing clients in negligent security, premises liability, catastrophic injury, automobile litigation, products liability, intentional torts, and insurance coverage matters.  Miles devotes a large percentage of his practice to the defense of amusement parks, carnivals as well as gyms and CrossFit facilities.  Additionally, Miles has experience defending fraternities and sororities claims. He began his legal career at a statewide insurance defense firm. After five years as a civil attorney, he joined the State Attorney’s Office in Broward County where he was notably promoted to the Felony Trial Unit. In this position, he tried more than 40 cases to verdict.  He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Active in the Florida Bar, Miles currently serves as a Florida Supreme Court appointment to The Florida Supreme Court Standard Jury Instructions Committee (Civil). Miles was also appointed by the Chief Judge of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit to serve as the Chair of the Local Professionalism Panel.  He has also served as Vice-Chair of Florida Bar Grievance Committee 17 D. He is also a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation. Previously, he was an elected member of the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar, Vice-Chair of the Federal Courts Practice Committee, a member of the Standing Committee on Professionalism and the Civil Procedure Rules Committee. He is a member of the Broward and Palm Beach County Bar Associations.  Miles is also a member of the International Amusement & Leisure Defense Association.

Miles is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is currently the President of the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of ABOTA.  Miles is also a Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society, where he has been inducted into the Order of Veritas.
