Matthew R. Scott, Jr. is a member of Conroy Simberg’s Workers’ Compensation Defense practice, where he represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout Florida. With more than seven years of experience in workers’ compensation defense, Matthew handles all aspects of litigation, from the initial evaluation of claims through resolution.
Prior to joining Conroy Simberg, Matthew gained extensive experience defending workers’ compensation claims. Before entering private practice, he served as a certified legal intern with the Public Defender’s Office for Florida’s 19th Judicial Circuit, where he handled first appearances, pleas, docket calls, and probation violation hearings.
Matthew earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. During law school, he further developed his legal skills as a certified legal intern with the university’s Collaborative Family Law Clinic.
