Joshua Canton, managing partner of the firm’s Tallahassee office, has achieved Board Certification in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education.  Board certification identifies lawyers with specialized knowledge, skills and proficiency, as well as a reputation for professionalism and ethics. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar. Of Florida’s more than 107,000 lawyers, less than 1% are board certified in Civil Trial Law. 

Neil Ambekar, a partner in the firm’s Orlando office, has been reappointed as Vice Chair of the Workers' Compensation Rules Advisory Committee effective July 1, 2023. The scope and function of the Workers’ Compensation Rules Advisory Committee is to carry out the mandate of the Florida Bar concerning the proposal of new rules of procedure and changes to existing rules.

Conroy Simberg, a premier insurance and litigation defense firm with offices in Florida and Georgia, has elected two attorneys to partnership. 

The firm’s Tallahassee office shared the spirit of giving this Holiday Season by collecting food donations for underprivileged families in the Tallahassee and surrounding areas.

The firm partnered with Second Harvest of the Big Bend which provides healthy food and other needed items for low-income and unemployed people to relieve situations of emergency and distress. As the region’s primary source for charitable food, Second Harvest acts as a storage and distribution depot for over 149 smaller front-line agency partners (emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes, homes for the mentally disabled, and domestic violence shelters) in 17 Florida counties -11 counties in the Feeding America service area (Calhoun; Franklin; Gadsden; Gulf; Jackson; Jefferson; Leon; Liberty; Madison; Taylor; and Wakulla), plus 6 counties under agreement with other North Florida food banks.

Jayne Ann Skrzysowski-Pittman, chair of Conroy Simberg’s construction practice group and managing partner of the firm’s Orlando office, has been appointed to serve on the newly created Sixth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC). She is appointed for a 4 year term ending on July 1, 2026.
