Joshua Canton, managing partner of the firm’s Tallahassee office, has achieved Board Certification in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education.  Board certification identifies lawyers with specialized knowledge, skills and proficiency, as well as a reputation for professionalism and ethics. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar. Of Florida’s more than 107,000 lawyers, less than 1% are board certified in Civil Trial Law. 

The firm’s Tallahassee office shared the spirit of giving this Holiday Season by collecting food donations for underprivileged families in the Tallahassee and surrounding areas.

The firm partnered with Second Harvest of the Big Bend which provides healthy food and other needed items for low-income and unemployed people to relieve situations of emergency and distress. As the region’s primary source for charitable food, Second Harvest acts as a storage and distribution depot for over 149 smaller front-line agency partners (emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes, homes for the mentally disabled, and domestic violence shelters) in 17 Florida counties -11 counties in the Feeding America service area (Calhoun; Franklin; Gadsden; Gulf; Jackson; Jefferson; Leon; Liberty; Madison; Taylor; and Wakulla), plus 6 counties under agreement with other North Florida food banks.

Jayne Ann Skrzysowski-Pittman, chair of Conroy Simberg’s construction practice group and managing partner of the firm’s Orlando office, has been appointed to serve on the newly created Sixth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC). She is appointed for a 4 year term ending on July 1, 2026.

Jayne Ann Skrzysowski-Pittman, Managing Partner of the Orlando office and Chair of the firm's Construction Practice Group, will be presenting “Construction Defect Damages and Developments,” at the Construction Law Institute an event sponsored by The Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar on May 21, 2021.

Through our wide range of representing employers we have the experience of dealing with all members of the construction industry.  Oftentimes a subcontractor’s employee is injured on a job and is shocked to find out that their employer did not have proper workers' compensation coverage, either by mistake or intentionally.
